Job Title: Senior Estimator
Department: Construction
Reports To: Director of Construction
Position Summary: Gambit Construction is looking for a highly motivated Multi-family Construction Senior Estimator. The ideal candidate will have multi-family estimating experience with working relationships of experienced sub-contractors he/she can obtain pricing. The Senior Estimator will have the overall responsibility of managing the Estimating Department.
Senior Estimator must be comfortable managing a team of 4-5 estimators. Scopes of work have ranged from minor repairs to full renovations. Senior Estimator must have a strong working knowledge of a wide range of construction processes, the ability to write his/ her own scope of work and apply current labor and material pricing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Inspect job sites with client, sales and adjuster to prepare detailed scopes of work and repair estimates in Quickbooks and/or Xactimate in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively and negotiate estimates with clients.
- Facilitate communications between the adjuster and the client
- Provide Project Managers with appropriate scopes of work.
- Work with office staff to ensure they have all the proper documentation during each phase of the bidding process.
- Assist in providing proper information for invoicing.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-family estimating.
- Thorough knowledge of plans and blueprint documents.
- Proficient time management.
- Possess knowledge of insurance regulations as they apply to construction field operations.
- Professional appearance with reliable transportation.

Hours:
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday (some days may require more than 8 hours; some weeks may require additional workdays). Will vary, depending on the amount of estimate requests coming into the office. May require long hours throughout the year.
Language Skills
Bi-lingual a plus.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office, Xactimate, Quickbooks preferred
