Job Title: Sales Representative

Position Summary

Sales Representatives are responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the multi-family housing market. Your primary objective will be to generate revenue and growth by establishing and maintaining relationships with property owners, management companies, real estate developers, and other key stakeholders in the industry. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base by promoting our renovation services and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Regular business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. However, some days will require more than 8 hours and some weeks will require additional workdays. Many factors could affect work hours including, but not limited to, estimate requests, weather, project completion and work-related travel. Additionally, attendance at apartment association events is required both during and after regular business hours.


A successful Sales Representative in multi-family renovations must possess a deep understanding of the industry, including market trends, competitors, and customer needs. They excel in both verbal and written communication, successfully articulating ideas, delivering impactful presentations, and negotiating effectively with clients. Their strategic thinking will enable them to identify opportunities and develop long-term plans for driving business growth.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive business growth in the multi-family renovations segment, identifying target accounts to pursue that align with the company vision and goals.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new leads and sales opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold calling, industry events, referrals, and partnerships.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, management companies, and other industry professionals to establish trust and position our company as the preferred multi-family general contractor.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs analysis and provide consultative solutions to clients, demonstrating the value and benefits of our renovation services by addressing concerns and negotiating contracts.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, including project scope, budget estimates, timelines, and other relevant details, tailored to the specific needs of potential clients.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with all internal teams, including estimators and project managers, to ensure seamless project handover and successful execution of client projects and the success of all internal teams.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions using a CRM system, providing regular reports and forecasts to the management team.
  • Marketing and Training: Participate in continuing education along with industry marketing events, appropriate customer entertainment, and social media marketing.
